The 2010 annual Peksulineq: Tatitlek Cultural Heritage Week event was held in the Native Village of Tatitlek between May 10th - 16th. It was the 16th year of this traditional event and it has been made possible each year through community sponsorship and generous support from various supporting regional and local organizations.

The Chugach Regional Resources Commission 12th Annual Subsistence Memorial Gathering was held on Friday, March 26th, 2010 from 1pm-10 pm and was a huge success this year! Over 700 participants attended and included many dance groups, the Moccasin Stompers Band, and the English Bay Band who played on into the night hours. It was a great event and many special thanks to everyone who participated and donated time to the huge potlatch.

On October 25, 2009 the new church was consecreated by Bishop Benjamin. Father Alexei Knagin, an Alaska Native from the Kodiak region and the resident priest of Cordova was instrumental in seeing this project through completion. A big thank you to Father Alexei! Donna Malchoff successfully completed her CAC apprenticeship program on November 6, 2009. Chugach Alaska Services, Inc. (CASI) hired her as a full-time employee on November 9, 2009. On July 8, 1868, the 141 foot Civil War era vessel named the “Torrent” under contract with the U.S. Army slammed into a rocky reef and sank in lower Cook Inlet near the Chugach villages of Port Graham and Nanwalek.
