Shareholder Talent Bank Form: (No deadline)
The Talent Bank form is an internal tool provided to shareholder, descendant and spouse of shareholders of Chugach Alaska Corporation, for the purpose of assisting with finding potential employment opportunities within the Chugach organization. Filling out this form does not guarantee employment.
Apprenticeships: (No deadline)
Looking for an opportunity to obtain on-the-job training? Chugach Alaska Corporation has a one-year program for Chugach shareholders and descendants. The program provides valuable work experience and apprentices accrue vacation and personal leave and receive holiday pay and a competitive wage.
Internships: (No deadline)
Chugach Alaska Corporation shareholders or descendants are you currently enrolled in an accredited college? Are you a full time undergraduate student (12+ credits) or a full time graduate student (9 credits) and have a 2.0+ GPA? If so, you are eligible for an internship with your corporation.
Training Without Walls “TWOW”: (Open enrollment until 2011)
TWOW is a leadership training program offered to Chugach Alaska Corporation shareholders and descendants. TWOW is a two-year program that meets three times a year for two-day training sessions. Candidates selected to participate will need to devote the time necessary to complete the program. Hotel and airfare accommodations will be available to participants traveling outside of the Anchorage area.
Shareholder Business Assistance Program “SBAP”: (Deadline July 30, 2010)
The program is designed to help promote and enhance small business development by supporting small businesses owned by Chugach Alaska Corporation shareholders and descendants. The funds awarded are to be used for the startup or expansion of a shareholder or descendant small business. SBAP funds are to supplement or match and not replace alternative funding resources. SBAP funds may not be used for refinancing or an existing small business loan. No more than $5,000 will be awarded to any one shareholder or descendant owned business. SBAP awards are taxable and SBAP funds must be expended within one year of the SBAP award.
Shareholder Advisory Committee “SAC”: (Deadline November 15, 2010)
The purpose of the Shareholder Advisory Committee (SAC) is to increase shareholder communication with the corporation, to identify issues of immediate and long-term importance to shareholders, and to assist the corporation in educating shareholders on the corporate business operations, corporate policies, etc. The SAC members have a two-year term limit and airfare and hotel accommodations are paid by Chugach.
