SBAP program funds are available to individual shareholders or descendants only for the startup or expansion of a shareholder or descendant small business. SBAP program funds are to supplement or match, and not replace, alternative funding resources. SBAP program funds must be expended within one year of the SBAP award.
The SBAP Program was designed to help promote and enhance small business development of startup or expansion of existing shareholder or descendant businesses. The continuation of the Program will be based on its measured success and benefits as determined by the CAC Board of Directors. The Chugach Alaska Corporation (“CAC”) Board of Directors, through the appointment of an outside review committee, will evaluate the SBAP proposals on a competitive basis. Proposals will be evaluated using the SBAP Proposal evaluation criteria listed on page 5. CAC in its sole discretion will determine whether the applicant has satisfactorily completed the program requirements. In exercising its discretion, the Board will accept the recommendations of the evaluation committee. All applicants will be notified if their proposal was awarded or not.
• If you have received a total of $5000 from the SBAP program you are ineligible to receive funds.
• If you have received an award in the past but have not complied with the program by turning in your Program Evaluation and Performance Report and receipts, you are ineligible to apply this year.
