The Board of Directors of Chugach Alaska Services Inc. (CASI) has selected Peter Andersen, Jr. to fill the position of President of CASI. Peter is a Chugach shareholder descendent and is coming to us from Alyeska Pipeline Service Company where he was Director of the Service Company’s Ship Escort and Response Vessel System (SERVS) in Valdez, AK. During his eight years with Alyeska SERVS, he has steadily progressed with increased responsibility, starting out as a Response Coordinator, then the Operations Supervisor, followed by the Operations Manager and finally as Interim Director. Prior to Peter’s career at Alyeska, he was a commercial fisherman and the Captain aboard four Bering Sea crab vessels based out of Kodiak, AK. Peter is a proven leader and we look forward to him joining our team on July 27, 2009.
